02.12.16 Andrey Rassiysky will be the New CEO of the Telecom Operator Max
The mobile telecommunications operator Max announced that Andrey Rassiysky will be the new CEO of the company. He joined Max in 2013 and was appointed CTO of the telecom before that.
Andrey has 23 years of experience in telecoms and ITC. He started his career as system engineer of the R&D Institute of the Bulgarian Army. From 2004 to 2009 he worked as Director Network Architecture & Engineering at Bulgarian Telecommunications Company. After that he joined Vestitel BG JSC as CTO and CEO of its Bulgarian office. Between 2010 and 2013 he was also a Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vestitel’s Greek office.
Rassiysky holds a MBA at the Spanish IE Business School, as well as Master’s degree of Computer Science at New Bulgarian University.
"I consider my appointment as a CEO as a logical development of my career at Max. My main goal will be adapting the company to upcoming changes.”, said Andrey Rassiysky, concerning his nomination.
The previous CEO Neycho Velichkov explained his personal decision to leave the company as follows: “Andrey is an experienced professional in transformation of telecommunications companies and I am confident that he will fulfill his task as good as possible. I brought the company to this latest stage of deal with a new strategic partner”.

His expertise and knowledge, understanding of the local market will continue to be an asset to the company and its shareholders look forward to continue productive cooperation with him”, added Mr. Dietel, CEO of MT Management, the majority shareholder of Max Telecom.
Max telecom paid nearly 8 million leva for the usage of additional 2x5 MHz in 1800 MHz spectrum band a month ago. With the new frequencies the company will focus on improvement of its fast 4G mobile Internet services.
