What’s included in a MaxDSL packet?

The packet contains a modem with power supply, network cable for connection with the PC, user’s manual on CD, quick installation guide and a connectivity diagnostics CD.

How can I improve the speed and the quality of MaxDSL service?

You can improve the quality of your service by moving the modem, thus raising the power of the received signal. The signal indicator is on the front side of the modem, where you can see the signal level and the signal to noise ratio. To improve the level of the received signal, you must put the modem parallel with a window or in a high place far away from obstacles. You can try to improve the signal by turning the modem in different directions.

How does the MaxDSL modem connect with the PC?

The MaxDSL modem connects with your PC through a network cable.

Is it easy to set up my MaxDSL modem? What steps must I follow?

It is very easy to set up your modem. The modem is a “plug and play” device i.e. it does not need an additional installation. Just follow the instructions from the quick installation guide.

How do I know if MaxDSL works?

If your modem has a display when you press the on/off button it should light up in green and an indication for connection should appear on the LCD display. If your modem does not have a dispay, connect it  to the power supply and wait until the modem's indicator starts blinking . For more information, look up the quick installation guide.

What should I do if MaxDSL does not connect?

If your modem has a display, check if modem is switched on from the button and whether the indicator’s light is on. Make sure that the antenna is raised and the display reads the signal level. If your modem does not have a display, check if the modem is connected to a power sourse and if it's indicator is lit.

What is a MaxDSL wireless modem?

Our MaxDSL wireless modem is different from the standard DSL or cable modems used for traditional broadband access. Our modem uses wireless technology and is connected with our base stations in our network. Our technology does not use phone or cable lines. Once the service is activated, you can use it anywhere within the WiMax coverage.

What operating systems can I use MaxDSL with?

The MaxDSL modem is connected through a network cable to your PC. It does not demand installation of additional drivers or software to your PC. Therefore it can work with different operating systems. All you have to do is tune your network card to receive automatic setup.

Can I keep the MaxDSL modem in case the contract is terminated?

It depends on the type of payment scheme you have accepted on signing the primary contract.

Will the MaxDSL modem be replaced in case it has a problem?

What should I do, if the signal is weak and the MaxDSL modem cannot connect?

To improve the accepted signal you should try the following:

  • Put the modem parallel with window;
  • Put the modem in a high place away from obstacles;
  • Make sure that the modem is not close to a mobile / wireless phone.

Also you can turn the modem or move it slightly in another direction. If your modem has a display you can get the orientation about the correct direction watching the indicators for the strength of the signal. If your modem does not have a display please use the program for connection status Navini Diagnostics.
