What is a MaxCard?
MaxCard uses the standard PCMCIA card with your mobile PC. It is an acronym of Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, a standard technology used for the development and elaboration of mobile devices (laptop etc.). This technology is small and can therefore fit or be built into devices such as portable computers quite easily, in order to establish wireless Internet connections.
How do I install a MaxCard to my laptop?
First you should put the PCMCIA card in your laptop’s Type II card slot and set up its antenna straight. Place the disc with the installation software and follow the instructions.
What does a MaxCard package contain?
Along with the MaxCard PCMCIA card in the package, you also receive a CD installation driver as well as a diagnostics program.
What type of operation systems can I use MaxCard with?
You can use MaxCard with Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista. Make sure that the last version of the Windows Service Pack has been installed.
Note: MaxCard cannot be used with MacIntosh or Linux/Unix.
